I want to leave this country and don't qualify to leave. I don't qualify to stay either. I wake up and find hatred and hatred everywhere. Just because you use a phrase doesn't mean it's true. Every phrase is performative every phrase is a hammer. Truth breaks with every phrase. With football: They needed to do this. They needed to do that. Like I told you in the first half they needed to do this and they did this. Quarter of people here going hungry. People tell me I'm expendable. Well, I am. Sun Dec 6 12:29:40 EST 2020 People tell me people tell me I'm expendable are harsh. Well, they are. There are the names, the uniforms, the titles, hallmarks of mayhem. All nouns are performative, they say. All performative nouns are necessarily violent they say. All violence is cleansing. I recognize this country only in its stolen name. What did Amerigo do? Tears in the morning, uneasy dreams, tawdry, sleazy words. But the tawdry and sleazy doesn't attack, violence buried in satin and velour, satin saint. I fear the streets I fear you. Sun Dec 6 15:10:18 EST 2020 Sun Dec 6 15:35:45 EST 2020 I wanted to write a poem on democracy, now I understand how daunting and impossible that is. This country is poisonous and as far as I can tell will be for the foreseeable future. The far right isn't going away, conspiracy = character armor and power, the enemy, viral-virus, is within us. Hunger is rampant in supposedly the wealthiest country on earth - that deep down doesn't care. I write myself into existence, I write myself out of it, an old trope, into oblivion, another old trope. Or annihilation: to the limit!, another. I pad my work with these. And yes, this is a poem; it's an impossibility to theorize with a mind teetering four stories above a teetering street in a teetering state already teeter-bored, in a teetering country as a ditto. Sun Dec 6 15:40:50 EST 2020 Everything I'm writing you already know and better than I do, the gnawing. Sun Dec 6 15:41:32 EST 2020 Sun Dec 6 15:41:40 EST 2020 Sun Dec 6 15:41:48 EST 2020 Teeter \Tee"ter\, v. i. & t. [imp. & p. p. {Teetered}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Teetering}.] [Prov. E. titter to tremble, to seesaw; cf. Icel. titra to tremble, OHG. zittar[d3]n, G. zittern.] To move up and down on the ends of a balanced plank, or the like, as children do for sport; to seesaw; to titter; to titter-totter. [U.
