Dumuzid

Chromatic harmonica, simultaneous revrev and straight
acoustic recordings fed back into each other, the body
of music and language spoken for, what about this, a
means of working through an acoustic presence, a body,
one among others. Again, working towards an online
release and intrinsically awkward work, meditation on
the world as it is, will be, might have been, and the
world of the past and the world to come. My arms'
reach is small, my memory too long and too complete
for the music of exaltation and desecration I inhabit
among null and infinite in an inconceivable universe.
With that preposterous nonsense, enjoy.

"Dumuzid or Dumuzi, later known by the alternative
form Tammuz,is an ancient Mesopotamian god associated
with shepherds, who was also the primary consort of
the goddess Inanna (later known as Ishtar)." "In
Inanna's Descent into the Underworld, Dumuzid fails to
mourn Inanna's death and, when she returns from the
Underworld, she allows the galla demons to drag him
down to the Underworld as her replacement. Inanna
later regrets this decision and decrees that Dumuzid
will spend half the year in the Underworld, but the
other half of the year with her, while his sister
Geshtinanna stays in the Underworld in his place, thus
resulting in the cycle of the seasons." (Wikipedia)
