He is a multi-instrumentalist who uses older and restored instruments from a number of traditions. Recently, he's been playing with ZADL, which includes Azure Carter, songs and singer; Rachel Rosenkrantz, bass; and Edward Schneider, alto saxophone, 3 years in the making. "I've been exploring longer and more intense forms, taking heart from wilder playing and influences, exploring other realms of consciousness through the music. I'm fortunate to work with other amazing musicians as well. I'm burrowing beneath the common forms of earth and fields, tunneling elsewhere, always aware of the human body and labor involved in playing non- electric instruments; that's a primary thing for me - being in the world, moving my fingers and breath to my limits, exploring those reaches."
