May You Live in Interesting Times is looking for DIY enthusiasts, makers, hackers, tinkerers, doers, crafters with a taste for the technical to participate in our Micro Maker Faire Wales. When: Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October 2009, 11am-4pm Where: Chapter Arts Centre, Market Road, Cardiff CF5 1QE, Wales, UK Participation: The Micro Maker Faire is part village fete and part hands-on workshop. Confirmed participants include: The Amazing Rolo, Ele Carpenter, Chipboard Project, Carolyn Ryves, Dorkbot Bristol, Holly Davey and Richard Robinson, Kathy Hinde, Solarspin, Robert Bermingham, Kosbo, Friispray and Cefn Hoile. The rules: please read these before you apply - You need to be available on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October 2009 - You need to bring with you any materials that you might need - You need to staff the stall between 11am and 4pm - You can sell your gizmos and gadgetry from the Faire and keep all the profit - You must have an element of hands-on, participatory activity as part of your stall ie visitors can make something, help build something with you, engage with the technology, etc - it`s not just about selling - sharing is key! - You can charge visitors a small contribution towards parts / materials if you are enabling them to make-their-own during the Faire. How to apply: send us a link to your website or url to your work, and no more than 250 words telling us what you would like to do at the Faire.
