:) Ruth New mini-festival in Frome, Somerset seeking music journalists to participate in "Talking Musical Revolutions" on Saturday, 19 June at 7pm. "Talking Musical Revolutions" will alternate between stories from music journalists and DJ interludes. The weekend includes independent musicians and artists, debates and talks about the music business and other topics, plus a Slow Media Movement launch and display throughout the weekend. Unfortunately we had a group pull out for this slot, so needing to fill it quickly! Also in attendance for the weekend are the Guardian's John Harris and Helienne Lindvall, the Mirror's Gavin Martin, John McClure from Reverend & the Makers, and Big Chill's Laura B. For participants in this volunteer-run festival, we are offering a free weekend pass, free camping and a free round trip bus from Hackney to Frome, Friday midday to Sunday late night. The festival itself is held in the beinghuman warehouse, a new space with gallery, event and studio space hosting music, art and film events.
