Mohammed was working his 24/7 schedule of reporting and putting through phonecalls from people desparate to hear from their relatives in Benghazi via his sattelite connection; he went out with his camera to capture the latest attacks when he himself got killed by a sniper. Mo, as the people close to him called him, will be remembered as a hero, not because he died in battle but because of the work he did. Work invaluable to us westerners who wanted news from his city under attack. News he provided where our own reporters were unable to. I was about to interview him when the sad news of his death arrived. I have been listening and watching his reports all fridaynight, realizing here was a man and a team behind that man that wanted desperately to tell the world just what was going on in Benghazi. The pickers become a dream: a Romanian advertisement to British migrant workers to come to Romania. How can we engage with the existence of others?
