I doubt that this makes me a "political" artist in the sense we normally use to consider that notion. But hopefully I'm a political artist in the way Theodor Adorno would describe it....I would say that I am influenced by new technologies, and formats, however ex negativo: These forms are not just new and "innocent", but were designed to replace analog film - and analog film as a medium of fine art cannot be replaced by digital technologies since the materiality of the two media are completely different and have nothing to do with one another.
