Interact with Diamandini, the life-size robotic artwork that responds to the 
audience with choreographed movements.

SOLAR WORK #2, Mike Blow
John Madejski Garden Explore this audiovisual, interactive work that responds 
to the environment along with new solar-powered pieces.

Hear the random sound effects produced by of a multitude of musical boxes wired 
up to a table that responds to the movements of visitors.

Interact with the Lighting Chair, 40 light bulbs connected to switches on a

naturally evolved systems. Reas invented the popular open-source programming 
language ‘Processing’ with Ben Fry.

Meet the artist Lawrence Epps and find out more about his use of extrusion to 
make ceramic sculpture which takes a humorous and satirical swipe at corporate 
culture. This year he made 8,000 ceramic commuters which took over the streets 
of Manchester.

Participate in this digital EEG clinic and contribute your brainwave recording 
to the project database, which will be used to robotically manufacture a

Enter Parag’s Augmented Reality goggles transforming everything you hear and 
see in real-time. Explore the work of electronic music pioneer Daphne Oram

Celebrate the Alan Turing Year by creating your own cute soft-circuit chatbot 
with light-up eyes! Learn how to make crochet chains and buttons with 
conductive materials.

Learn the basics of interaction design with Arduino, how to use it, 
applications for creating interactive objects or environments and how to use a 
simple sensor for basic interaction.

Discover the British Galleries
British Galleries, Level 2 - 10.30 – 16.00
Borrow an iPad from Lunchroom 1 and go on a trail around the British Galleries, 
to unravel a puzzle of hidden objects.
Programmed by FarhadAgzamov with the support of Daphne Economou, University of 
Westminster, School of Electronics and Computer Science.

Mezzo-Soprano Louise Ashroft is transformed with biotechnology to grow algae 
with her breath so the audience can taste her song.

Listen to Beatboxer and sound artist Jason Singh’s respose to Alan Turing. This 
experimental vocal performance includes beatboxing, vocal sculpting and spoken
