*DESCRIPTION/ABSTRACT:*
This lecture by *theorists Arthur and Marilouise Kroker* and reception will
mark the closing of Phase 3 of Drones at Home, a three-part exhibition in
the gallery@calit2. The event will include a short video, After the Drones,
with texts by the Krokers as well as video and sound by Jackson 2 Bears.

*SPEAKER BIO:*
*Marilouise Kroker* is Senior Research Scholar at the University of
Victoria. She is the author with Arthur Kroker of Hacking the Future. She
has co-edited and introduced numerous anthologies including the much
discussed trilogy on the politics of the body -- Digital Delirium, Body
Invaders and The Last Sex. Together they edit the electronic journal
CTheory.

*Arthur Kroker* is Canada Research Chair in Technology, Culture and Theory
and the Director of the Pacific Centre for Technology and Culture (PACTAC)
at the University of Victoria, Canada. His most recent book is Body Drift:
Butler, Hayles, Haraway (University of Minnesota Press: Fall 2012). His
many book publications include The Will to Technology and the Culture of
Nihilism: Heidegger, Nietzsche & Marx_(University of Toronto Press, 2004),
The Possessed Individual, Spasm, and Data Trash: The Theory of the Virtual
Class (with Michael A. Weinstein).
