I tried BIOS before. There is no way to disable 3.0. Also searched for BIOS upgrade from laptop vendor that would allow me to disable 3.0. No update is available. (Didn't check bios upgrade from motherboard vendor though not sure that would void the warranty etc.) However there is an option called "USB3.0 Configuration in Pre-OS" with values Enabled,Disabled,Auto. It's basically about whether to keep it 2.0 "Pre-OS" loading. Anyway, I tried all 3 options. Neither worked. Mayuresh
