On Raspberry Pi 2 with following configuration system crashes on exiting
the window manager:

$ uname -a
NetBSD pi 8.0_RC1 NetBSD 8.0_RC1 (RPI2) #0: Sun Jun 17 16:30:05 IST 2018
root@pi:/usr/src/sys/arch/evbarm/compile/RPI2 evbarm earmv7hf Cortex-A7 r0p5
(Cortex V7A core) NetBSD

Since on console the screen looks garbled (reported in a separate thread),
can't read out exact message, but the last line looks something like this:

Stopped in pid 0.5(system) at netbsd:wsevent_inject_+x84: str r0, [r1...

It would go for disk checks on next reboot.

Are there any quick workarounds to make the shutdown smoother, to make the
system fit for day to day use?
