Yeah, that's annoyed me for I think literally decades now. I'd have
fixed it in the code long ago, but in that particular area sysinst is
rather convoluted.
I'd really like to see an option to have /targetroot (and any and all
other associated filesystems under it) still mounted when it allows you
to fork a shell.
Getting the extended partitioning features all working would be even
better though.
