First, see if there's an BIOS update for your machine. Even if there isn't one, try reflashing the same version (if possible). This forces a clearing of the EC NVRAM. Then, you can fiddle with the source to silence the diagnostic: https://github.com/NetBSD/src/blob/netbsd-10/sys/dev/acpi/acpi_ec.c#L955 or, pass `kern.err' to a filter in `/etc/syslog.conf'. This way, you can keep all the other errors and throw way thsese ones. See syslog.conf(5) for an example of the filter syntax. HTH, -RVP
