Ah - just a matter of perception may be? Or is there more to it? IMHO, even https itself is more for sake of perception handling, particularly for simple static sites. Browser adds that "not secure" alert adding to the perception aspect. Google lowers your rank if you are not https. That's the only other motivation for me. Yeah, I know the counterarguments, someone tampering with your web page, over a some rogue wifi hotspot somewhere and all such stuff. The probability of that looks so minuscule, for limited audience of the website, that I know I am doing this only for the perception aspect of it than technical! -- Mayuresh
