Disabling the ulpt driver solved my problem. Thank you adr and Steve Rikli.
Since CUPS from pkgsrc doesn't come with the ppd file for this printer I'm attaching it here in case someone in the future with this same problem stumble upon this mail thread. Best regards, Isac
