I have copied (using *Debian* GNU/Linux) more than 1.5 TB of all kind of data during hours, including the .mozilla directory offending "garbage" to the ext2 partition on the USB hard disk on several directories (having cleaned the filesystem previously with fsck), I get no errors at all. So I can conclude that the drive and the USB circuitry should be on OK shape (I think). After the crash on NetBSD I filled this bug report PR: kern/60704 https://gnats.netbsd.org/60704 https://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-bugs/2026/09/09/msg094865.html Regards. Ramiro.
