To be honest, Genesis hasn't really had any updates since 1.0.4, mainly as
the main programmer went to work for HP. Anyway, Olli and David Gerber have
taken over, so expect some changes after the Voyager 3 'release'
(pre-release 3 out this weekend, afaik).
Genesis updates will be made available to existing NC 2 and NC 3 owners
though.
> 2. What version of MDII does NC3 contain?
MD-2 1.4. These parts haven't changed much on NC 3, as I said before. Let me
explain some things about NC 3:
1) Althougth NC 3 is a 'new' version, it still contains two or three of the
current NC 3 applications, namely Genesis and MD-II.
The new titles are: Voyager 3, AmIRC 3, AmTelnet 2, NetInfo II. Updated:
Octopus, Contact Manager (1.6). Brand new: WebVision, MetalWeb 4 and the
superb mFTP-II.
2) We can only go to press with the current Vapor apps. ie. if MD-2 is at
'v1.4', that's the one we'll use. Of course they'll be updates in the
future, too.
Best of all, now the software is dual-compatible with the Vapor apps, you'll
be able to download these and use them with NC 3! :)
