I think this is coincidental; there is nothing about an MP3 site which makes
it different to any other (unless there is a particular site which V has a
problem with).  It certainly won't be trying to play them unless you have
installed a player and configured V correctly.  Good MP3 players include AMP
(if you have a good processor, I believe) and (what I personally use) -
mpega.  It's CLI based but you should be able to set V's MIME types up
appropriately (although personally I just download them to a directory and
play them later)

Having said all that, *IF* you're like 99% of people searching for mp3s on the 
Internet (i.e.
looking for illegal ones) then I have no sympathy at all and for once I hope
Voyager crashes lots and you waste many futile hours attempting to steal
other people's work.
