1. Re: Issue with Netdisco and Subnets Reports page (Muris)

Hi Oliver, I see you have reverted the change just to how it was previously.
My question is why cant the backend webserver handle loading thousands and
thousands of subnet entries even if 0.0.0.0/0 is entered ?
The same issue with the backend webserver also has with centralised wireless
controllers with many thousands of clients connected to access points, the
backend interface just cant display that and errors out as its too many things
to load.
I think that needs investigation so potentially thousands of entries the
webpage can display

Hi! Yes this is arguably a bug. Please would you open a ticket and we’ll be
able to fix it.
Many thanks
Oliver

Hi Usergroup,
I have a rather large network, and doing Reports > IP > Subnet Utilisation in
the newer version forces to display the first page all subnets with 0.0.0.0/0
Because its so large, the page cant actually display all the subnets as there
are thousands and thousands, so it never ends up displaying them and comes up as
“Search failed! Please contact your site administrator (server error)”.
If I look up manually smaller subnets this is fine, its just the huge networks
it cant seem to handle to display them, is there a fix for this or work around?
Muris
