When I use the FTOS target to set the TOS field in a packet header, I get a
real slow down in performance.
There is only ever one rule for these tests.
iptables -A PREROUTING --table mangle --protocol tcp -j TOS --set-tos 0x10
leads to throughput of 94Mbits.
iptables -A PREROUTING --table mangle --protocol tcp -j FTOS --set-ftos 0x10
gives me a throughput of 4Mbits!
Repeat above on OUTPUT table gives no such problems - throughputs of 94Mbits
I would really like to be able to use FTOS as I want to set TOS fields to
all sorts of values.
