Hello I am having problems with being able to send
mail from with in my server.
Here is what I have set up
Real Internet connection on "eth0"
Intranet (subnet) on "eth1"
PPPD DIAL IN "ppp0"
My server is running Slackware 8 with 2.4.17
Kernel
Running WEB, DNS, PPP, EMAIL POP3-SMTP, and Router
services
I have no problem with any services
except SMTP and this is ONLY if I am on my DIAL-IN ppp (ppp0) connections
or the Intranet (subnet) (eth1) trying to send my mail.
If I am on the Internet side (eth0) of the Server
SMTP works just great, it is just from behind the IPTABLES firewall so I am sure
it is just something I have missed in my rc.firewall script but I can't find
anything about (smtp) in the Netfilter Howto's.
If some one knows what is going on and a fix for
this PLEASE let me know.
I am NOT understanding the NETFILTER stuff very
well so please help if you can.
