Forgive me if this is a lame question! I compiled a new kernel (2.4.17) and also iptables. bastille-firewall loads first as S05, and iptables later as S08. Does this mean that iptables flushes and rewrites the rules that bastille loaded? Does iptables have any preconfigured rules straight after installation? Should I reverse the order in which they load? I promise to do some RTFM as well! Thanks, T.
