I have been able to sucessfully setup a network bridge and wanting to have the ability to do bandwidth mangment onto it for various IP's both in the range of 1.2.3.0/24 and 5.6.7.0/24. They would have an down and an up rate, nothing else just state that ip of a.b.c.d can only receive @ <user_ReceiveRate>kbits/sec max and send @ <user_SendRate>kbits/sec max
can this all be performed by iptables or would i need to dig farther in and use TC to do this? At the moment i am preparing the man's, faq and other related documents to be printed for study. so if i know that iptables could preform this fuction i could focus on getting it done on iptables then later see if useing TC would help side note is there a way to perform a search on the list-server on a particular subject, could not find a search on the archive pages.
