I'm not too familiar with sqlnet, but I don't think it's too firewall unfriendly. Have you tried opening up the relevant port - which is 1521/tcp? It might require more ports opening, I think Oracle and SQL can make for "interesting" connections - try opening 1521 and then see what your iptables logs, or tcpdump, show you. -- FunkyJesus System Administration Team
