I had originally asked them to be installed using the USB cables, but when the installers arrived at the school they said the boards and the computer were going to be too far away from each other to use USB. In fairness they tried it when I said I'd prefer them to be connected with USB but the signal strength wasn't strong enough. I've actually found the bluetooth to be pretty reliable - especially if you use it on the local side (quelle surprise!)

I realise that this is not possible in some circumstances where cables from computer to board are a trip hazard. It's cheaper and more reliable for the teacher if you use the USB cable. More reliable means the teachers will be more inclined to use the technology. They've just quoted us £200 for one or £290 for three. Doesn't seem that expensive I guess but since it only takes 30 minutes (at most) for an engineer to install it, I think it's rather high. When we got some boards integrated last year we were charged £168 each or £200 for three (I still thought this was high), but now we're hit with a price increase of almost 50%! Sorry, just frustrated because they have us over a barrel!
