Today I came across a way in which pupils can hide themselves from appearing on RM Tutor. If they open, say, a Word document, type a few characters, minimise the window and then click on the "Log Off" button, their little "person" icon disappears from the System Tray on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. They will also disappear from RM Tutor. This seems to be because the machine starts to logout the profile (and therefore removes them from RM Tutor), but the logout stops because MS Word cannot close until the open document is saved. And there you have it, the little rascals can get around RM Tutor! Perhaps this is one to report to both RM and C2k? Or is this a well known problem with RM Tutor that I just haven't come across before?
