Hi Andrew

To get names put on print outs from the Internet get your pupils to try the following:

Start Internet Explorer
Click on File and then click on Page Setup...
Under Header I suggest you put in the pupils initials and then a space for instance I would put in SM and get "SM &w&bPage &p of &P" as the footer.

&w appears to mean the web page title i.e on Yell it is Yell.com the UK's local search engine - search of UK businesses
&b appears to mean right align the following
&p means page number
&P means total of pages

On my print out from Yell.com I get "SM Yell.com the UK's local search engine - search of UK businesses" followed by "Page 1 of 1" right aligned.

You may decide to remove the &w&bPage &p of &P and just go for the pupils name - the choice is yours - but note once you make the change each header from Internet Explorer for those pupils may continue to have their initials (or what ever you decide) so it may be worth changing back at a later date.

You can of course change the footer instead but I find it useful to have the web site address and date on print outs.

I agree that if C2K could set it up so that a pupils name is printed with each of their printouts would be useful (maybe even stop any need less printing). However when it comes to printing coursework would this cause a problem?

I hope this helps at least in the short term.

> Anybody know if it's possible to have the students' usernames be put on printouts? One of my year groups isprinting search results from www.yell.com as part of their course but there is no way to figure out who has printed what. (They choose their search terms from a list so some of them are exactly the same). If this can't be done, it'd be a great feature to have added.
