[NetMeeting] CU-SeeMe and NetMeeting conflict

I have installed several different teleconferencing systems on a single PC
for testing purposes. CuSeeMe puts an icon on the task bar titled "Waiting
for Incoming Call." This seems to make it impossible for NetMeeting to
locate the camera when invoked. (I suspect it blocks audio as well, but I
didn't verify that this evening.) Deleting the icon solves the problem.

Can anyone explain to me just what is happening? How is CuSeeMe thwarting
NetMeeting?
