I'm more than hesitant at typing this mail. As you'll be able to tell I'm
less than accomplished as a computer user :(
I used NetMeeting for the first time a week or so ago. I hadn't at that time
read the info on proxy servers, duplex etc kindly provided by
www.netmeet.net I was experiencing big problems with audio only {no cam
unfortunately}. Upon the 'advice' of a friend I downloaded NetMeet3 from
MSN - I found it to be less than manageable for me. I hadn't BTW uninstalled
the original first :(
I decided, as Net3 was causing crashes constantly, to uninstall - which I
did and luckily found this list :)
I now have a problem in that I cannot install NetMeeting from the Win98 CD -
it does not show in the add/remove progs
Zane -- You said you originally downloaded it from MSN. Why not forget the
CD and just do that again? Or choose another site from here:

{I did tell you I knew very
little!}. I have to say that I preferred the 'old' version & would like to
install it again - maybe leaving 3.x until a later date ;) Does anyone have
any advice on this please?
I was going to tell you how to download it, and was a bit horrified myself
when I went to check it out and discovered that the 2.x versions seem to no
longer be available. Is this really so? Anyone know why Microsoft removed
version 2 from circulation? You can have a copy of mine, Zane, if you (or
someone) can suggest a way to FTP it.

I do have experience of 'lists' - having my own at some free list servers
and also M-D - if I can help anybody out with the major-domo software here
just holler? :)
I have far too many requests for assistance - I won't inundate you - don't
