If you would ask the people that you are talking to on netmeeting to buy
themselves a$10. head set, and use it I'll bet it will eliminate the echo
that you hear when you are talking to them. It worked for me and I use 3.01
and have good contacts. If you get a bad contact, just sign off and re
contact. That helps too sometimes.
