All of this sounds like gobbldegoop to a guy who has just tried NetMeeting
for the first time last week. I got it going and spoke to a couple of
people, and had fun doing it.
The thing is, I've been told the Microsoft server is offline a lot, and
discovered that myself the last couple of days. Rumor has it one can log
onto other servers and have them work as well, if not better than, the
Microsoft server. Can anyone tell me how to do this....in plain
old-fashioned english that a newbie like me can follow? I'm not using the
newest 3.1 version of NetMeeting either, because with the new one it seems
you have to know who you want to talk to, rather than being able to scroll
down a list of folks like you can with 2.1.1 or whatever it is I'm using.
Anyway, if you can help, I'd appreciate it.

Dan
