Often this prob shows itself as video that hangs, somtimes hanging the whole computer, shortly after starting NM. I was running Win95b, IE5, and NM3.01. I had successfully installed CVideoMail Express (ECP parallel port camera - the only one I found with NT drivers). When I ran NM, it would work for data only, but it kept appearing to be locked in a Data-Only view (View: Data Only was checked AND greyed out). Thus, no video display pane in the NM window. Finally, not seeing how my problem was related to hanging video but having nothing to lose, I tried the fix for the hanging problem, that is I moved all font files with dates different from my win.com file OUT of my C:\windows\fonts folder and into a new C:\FontsTemp folder (for safekeeping and future use). That did the trick. NEW TWIST? Even though I'd now got NM and my camera to work together, my problem came back when I tried to run NM3.01 offline; I had to be online to have the video display pane visible. Hope this helps someone someday. MS tech supt and I spent an hour and a half on this; I've since notified MS of the fix.
