Hi frank, i'd like to thank you for the link to WINNOV , and i hope you won't
mind a quick query . I've been using netmeeting 3.1 with an avermedia inter-cam
usb camera ,with decent results for a couple of months . However , my problem
lies in what i believe is a lack of a capture card .Any video-mail programs
I've attempted to use (and I've downloaded almost all of them ) will not run my
camera . My video card is an STB Velocity 4400 , and I'm beginning to get a
clue that the card is my problem ( can you tell how green I am yet ???lol ) .
The capture cards on Winnov's site , in particular the Videum VO (PCI) ,seem to
be what is missing...am I on the right track? By the way , the
setback I'm experiencing is preceded by an annoying error message that repeats
5 -10 times telling me that the camera is already in use by another application
. At which point the Vid/mail app tells me it cannot continue with video
support , only audio . This event has occurred with CUCME , VideoMail Express ,
Acer EasyAxcess ,and a few other similar apps . As I said , netmeeting works
without a hitch , but I'd really love to send the family video mail. If you
think you can spare me a minute and let me know about the WINNOV card , I'd be
eternally grateful. Thanx , Sturgis Nikides
