I would be careful about selecting a DSL provider. I have DSL through USWest
and it works great, fast and reliable. However, unlike the cable modem, my
DSL works through a Cisco 675 router, which has a built in firewall. The OS
for the Cisco router that came with my DSL doesnt support wildcard NAT
entrys (NAT is a table that translates incoming requests on a specific port
to a specific port on the internal network)
Netmeeting allocates ports dynamically for video and audio, so i have no
idea prior to establishing a meeting which ports are going to be used for
recieving video and audio. Because of this I cant receive video and audio.
Outgoing video and audio seems to work.
There is nothing inherrent to DSL that precludes using Netmeeting, but in my
case the router i have to use with my DSL service is causing problems.
