[NetMeeting] Direct Sound support

I have installed Direct X 7.0 on my mchine, which includes Direct Sound. But when I 
run Netmeeting and select Tools->Options->Audio, the tick box for Enable Direct Sound 
is greyed out. 

Can anyone help?
