In the Netmeeting-discussion digest this evening, I found the solution to the problems l reported.

The solution was in Bruce Roorda's e-mail.  By downloading the install file to disk and installing from the
hard drive, instead of form the Microsoft site,  seemed to solve all the problems.    Netmeeting is functioning
properly, and I got the new 3388 build.

I hope this helps anyone who has  a similar problem.

Subject: HELP !!!!!

I need help big-time.
I just switched over to COX@home cable internet service.
When I tried to use netmeeting I started to get funny results (couldn't connect to a directory, ILS directory lists wouldn't come up unless I
Loggged off/on, etc).   I thought it was my bandwith setting. I tried both cable... and LAN selections from options.  Nothing worked.

So I uninstalled netmeeting 3.01(3385) and tried to reinstall from the Microsoft download site.   First I tried the version I already had (3385).   Then I tried Service Pack 1 (3388).
In both attempts the installs called for a disk to be inserted.   The install seemed to be calling for files that should have downloaded from e Microsoft .
Currently I don't have any version of netmeeting.  Any help you can give will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Myron L Perlmutter
