Aldo, based on my experience and my system I would say that your situation
is not normal.

When you run the audio wizard, run it with the recording properties also
open and see if the volume for the mike moves as audio wizard adjusts.

Before opening NM, open the recording properties and then open NM. Watch
the mike volume setting on the recording properties as you open your video,
do you see it change like it does on NM?

This might seem far fetched, when you go to the NM help tab are all the
sub-menus available or is any one grayed-out. If so make sure that IE is
your default browser, go to control panel and right click Internet Options,
click Open then the Program tab and check : IE should check to see...
default browser.

good luck

Ren
