I have been using the version of NM which came as part of Windows 98 SE
(V3.0, I think). It has been working fine.
Recently I downloaded and installed the latest version from Microsoft
(V3.01). Since the installation of the new version I am unable to logon to
Microsoft Directory (Microsoft Directory is always "greyed out"
in the drop down menu of NM), I can find the Microsoft Directory and other
ILS servers O/K. In addition when I try to play the video using the
Play/Pause button I get an illegal operation message followed by all my
video information under Option/Video being "greyed out". Rebooting the PC
brings this info back....but not the Microsoft Directory.
I uninstalled the old version by deleting NM via Windows Explorer (no
uninstall function available). I am thinking that all of the files may not
have been fully removed by this process and they are causing problems with
the new version.
I have a Pentium III 550, and I am using a Miro DC30 plus capture card with
a camcorder attached for video transmission. I use this set-up for
Non-Linear video editing on my PC as well.
