Recently I tried a program that basically does everything Nemteeting
does, I tried it as a Phone Gateway (not with great results), but I have not
tried it's PC to PC features, but they appear to be identical to Netmeeting

except it appears to allow you to set up a conference and use audio with
more then one person at a time,

and voicemail which appears to be save for you while you are offline to be
play later, also allows you to send a file or a text message with the
voicemail. It appears to be identical to Netmeeting as far as it features,
with a few added features voice mail video mail and conferencing, plus the
ability to put someone on hold while answering another call.
Another program I have used, but I don't consider as an alternative to
Netmeeting, is http://www.firetalk.com I have tried this, it works great,
but it is comparable to an Instant Messenger program, that uses, both text
and audio (the audio is excellent) Features Voice mail, and the ability to
set up private and moderate voice chat rooms that can be password protected,
also allows you to link via a web site to an assign chat room. I have seen
firetalk before, but never tried it. Now that I have tried it, I am very
impress, the audio is full duplex, and the best quality of anything I have
tried, the moderate chatrooms you can create will allow you to have full
control to boot people from them, or who speaks (although you can also set
it up to let everyone have speaking privileges) you can also set up a
conference call with as may people as you want, without using a chat room.
It is a good audio communication program that gives you a lot of options as
far as conferencing (but audio and text only), with very good audio quality.
