Yup.
Done it. Thanks Jay and Brian (and Steve) for your help.
It's amazing, having a resource like this list. I had that sinking
feeling when I saw netmeeting wasn't working - it was actually during
a phone call where I suggested to a business contact he try the link I
wrote on a webpage to start netmeeting and videoconference with me.
My thoughts were 1/ *!****!*!* - that's blown the impression I was
trying to create; and 2/ **!*** - that's going to be another couple of
weeks now tracing and fixing the problem.
Done in a couple of hours with your help.
I've got a feature hopefully being published on an ISP's homepage
soon, when they launch their communities site, about groups, mutuality
and the Internet. I'll post the link if anyone is interested.

You can disable the call notification app in the system tray (the
yellow bell) and
disable it from running at startup. That's the component of cu that's
holding
yer video hostage!!

| CUseeme installs an app that runs in the background to field calls
and takes over the video capture device) -- I don't know if
it can be disabled without uninstalling it.
