Brian,
I contacted a gentleman by the name of Zach through their video software,
saying he would contact the right channels for discussion. Right off the bat
I can see this will be much easier than communicating with Microsoft. At
this point in time, that's worth its weight in gold. I really appreciate
this tip from you. I tried their product and obviously it appears to work
quite well! I'm hoping they will understand our application and recognize
that our system only needs the video feed from the Laser-Cam to travel one
way, from problem to solution. This would free more bandwidth, allowing
video data to achieve greater quality and allow more room for audio.
I've been very excited the past few days with new unfolding events
pertaining to the Laser-Cam. AirWire.Net ( http://www.airwire.net ) has been
approached by a governmental group involving the FBI, NYPD and DOD. They are
having a discussion this week involving AirWire's wireless microwave
technology integrated with the Laser-Cam. The big appeal is having live
video feed along side real-time pointing interaction. Kind of makes me think
of the old cartoons where they said,"Which way did they go, which way did
they go?", *grin*.
I have one favor to ask if you wouldn't mind of course, if you know
FocusFocus' CEO, would you care to possibly plug us to them? You are a well
respected individual within this industry and may have a little more gravity
over the situation than us. By no means am I asking you to say more about us
than what we are, it's just that you have actually used our system and have
recognized the already known video problems that could be corrected by using
better video software which they may be able to furnish through
collaboration.
Thanks again,
Wendell Quillen
