Using the email address of the party you are calling only works in very
special (rarely met) circumstances (both must be logged in to the same ILS
server -- using the target email address as the login credentials.

ILS servers are not in common use these days (and haven't been since 1999
when Microsoft stopped providing public service).

The usual current method of initiating a call is to use the target
computer's ip address as the calling address (if the either party is behind
a router -- the routers must be configured to have the NetMeeting computer
as the dmz machine and the call made to the public IP address of the router)
