Dear Michel, Alexander, Laurent (authors and netmod WG in copy), IANA has a YANG-SID-related question about a document on next Thursday's IESG telechat agenda.
This document is obsoleting RFC 6691 and updating its YANG modules: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-netmod-rfc6991-bis-17 The IETF YANG-SID Ranges registry lists RFC 6691 as the reference for ietf-yang-types and ietf-inet-types. We asked the author whether we should update those references (as is typical when a document being obsoleted), but he wasn't sure, since those entries were added after 6691 was published. If the IESG approves 6691-bis for publication, should we replace the references to 6691 in the IETF YANG-SID Ranges registry? Please see https://www.iana.org/assignments/yang-sid When this document is approved, we'll continue to list the original RFC 6691 modules as well as the new ones in the YANG Module Names registry. (This is not our standard approach to obsoletions, but we were asked to do this for YANG modules.) thanks, Amanda Baber IANA Operations Manager _______________________________________________ netmod mailing list -- netmod@ietf.org To unsubscribe send an email to netmod-le...@ietf.org
