Hi Michael, As editor of the spec, I'm afraid you will need a 8520bis to make use of interesting aspects (payload, alias) for mud context, especially that 8520 includes some kind of profiling (explicit list of matches, etc.).
As OPS AD, I think there is room to open a bis (iotops is the natural home for this, obviously) and explore less "rigid" approaches to maintain mud-acl.
