-Easy-to-use application turns web camera into a high technology security system-
Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, (September 10th, 2003)--- SubRosaSoft.com Ltd., a software company based in New Zealand focusing on system utility and privacy software, today announced the immediate availability of HomeGuardian, a powerful tool that turns a Macintosh computer and a web camera into a security system by integrating motion detection with extremely flexible reporting.
HomeGuardian turns a Mac with a webcam into a high tech security
system. When HomeGuardian detects any movement, it can sound an audio
alert and snap a series of photos then immediately send them via eMail
away from the scene to a designated eMail account. Any evidence will
be kept secure since its sent offsite.
"HomeGuardian is an ideal security system for homes and
small offices. It uses technology you already have to protect the
things most important to you." says Ben Slaney, CEO of
SubRosaSoft.com Ltd. "HomeGuardian watches for trouble by looking
for movement then reporting using the method of your choice. You can
have HomeGuardian display movement alerts or have regular shots taken
from your web cam sent to your web server or eMail.
HomeGuardian includes powerful features that give you flexibility in monitoring your home/office.
