Hi Tyler, We're preparing to make the Essex-1 milestone release today.
I noticed the change-set on Gerrit: https://review.openstack.org/#change,1480 Especially this late in the cycle, a change-set should be associated with a bug so we can understand the priority of the fix, and what release it is targeting. Due to back-end infrastructure permissions, we weren't actually able to create a "milestone-proposed" branch for essex-1, so we need to hold off any commits to master that we don't want in the essex-1 milestone (we'll get this fixed for essex-2). So in short, please let us know how urgent this fix is for inclusion in essex-1. From the title is seems that at least part of the change is urgent, though the change also seems to include other fixes that are related to unit tests. Since it involves running tests that require special hardware, we'll need at least one review from someone else on the Cisco team who can run the tests. The Nova E-1 release already happened this morning, and we were planning on release Quantum E-1 fairly early as well. We can wait until later today to release Quantum, if needed, but I don't want to get in the habit of slipping milestone dates.
