I think that the board is needed to make a community. You need that people talk about the project and everything around it everyday! Making a community helps also to spread the "word", you will find new developers/programmers more easily. I know that it will be "useless" to you devs, but you can continue to use the ML. You can add some subjects to the board and netsukuku for sure ... You can also ask to some your friends to be the admins/mods of it.
