$sudo dhclient <network interface>
where <network interface> is (probably) wlan0

$ping google.com
still no reply?

ping 8.8.8.8
if that works, edit /etc/resolv.conf to read : nameserver 8.8.8.8

$sudo route add default gw <the ip of your router>
where <the ip of your router> is probably 192.168.1.1

just guessing...
