Hi,
some people proposed me alternative icons for NS under Haiku, which
uses its own vector format, HVIF 
<http://www.haiku-os.org/documents/dev/why_haiku_vector_icons_are_so_small>.

For now I just took the globe part of the converted SVG logo into Icon-
O-Matic.
But I was wondering how other devs would feel about using an alternate
one, as some people have been insisting on our mailing list.
I recall seeing there were guidelines about the GUI...

Haiku itself has some guidelines for Icon design:

One of the proposed icon is a rework of the official one, the other is
a twist on the original NetPositive icon, which was a surfer with a
globe, which fits more into the Haiku style but is radically different
(surfing gone wild :).
