I think Michael overstated things a little: I make no guarantees that the stuff documented on that wiki page is actually the cause of the crashes you're seeing. Like Daniel, I've been unable to reproduce your problem -- most likely because it's incredibly timing-specific (assuming my surmise about the reentrancy being the cause is correct). Regardless, I'm going to fix the reentrancy mess, as it's been causing us pain for the best part of 8 years now. J.
